The topic for this year’s event is Enterprise Content Management. Many of us have tackled various aspects of this challenging issue, whether through e-mail archiving, matter-centric computing, or records management initiatives. These efforts tend to raise more questions than they answer: Is there a comprehensive strategy that can address the content management needs across all areas of the Firm? What impact will the acquisition of Hummingbird by Open Text have on our industry? Are there other ECM vendors entering the legal vertical? Where does Interwoven sit in the overall Enterprise Content Management market? And what about Microsoft? How should SharePoint figure in an overall ECM strategy?
The following vendors have been invited to participate in panel presentation to address these questions: EMC, Interwoven, Microsoft, Open Text and StarLaw.
Toby Bell from the Gartner Group will join us to lead the discussion on these and other topics. Toby is a director in Gartner Research, responsible for a range of content management technologies for the High Performance Workplace group. He has specific experience in the legal vertical. We are also inviting principals from the leading ECM vendors to participate in the panel discussion, who will share their views, their strategy and what differentiates them from the competition. Our focus will be on discussion and meaningful dialogue and away from the endless product demonstrations we all sit through. We are confident that you will walk away from the event with valuable insights for developing an enterprise content management strategy that will scale to the needs of your organization.
Last, but not least, the event gives all of us a chance to see old friends, and make some new ones. Almost 40 of the G100 CIOs attended last year’s inaugural session. We believe even more will attend this year. It’s tough to beat this event from a networking perspective.
We hope you will be able to join us for this event. It may be one of the most productive half days you spend this year. ILTA’s mission is to promote and foster peer networking. Don’t miss this opportunity to discuss one of the most important issues today with your peers in the Global 100 law firms. |
